The HTML it produces relies on inline styles rather than external stylesheets, which is the key to rendering reliably across email clients. Email programs strip out or ignore CSS in a head or external file, and clients like Outlook use the Microsoft Word rendering engine, so signatures built with modern layout tricks like flexbox often break. Sticking to inline styles and simple structure is what keeps the signature looking the same in Gmail, Outlook desktop and web, Apple Mail, and Yahoo. Installation differs slightly by client and that is the common gotcha. In Gmail you paste the rendered signature into Settings, General, Signature, and Gmail converts it to its own rich text. In Outlook you also paste into the signature editor. Pasting raw HTML source code as visible text will not work; you paste the rendered, formatted version. If you include a photo, it must be hosted at a publicly reachable URL, such as a company CDN or Gravatar, because email clients cannot read an image from your local disk. Everything happens in your browser, so the contact details and photo URL you enter are never uploaded or logged, unlike some online builders that store what you type.
